Beijing, under the Ming dynasty, the city itself was initially known as “BEIPING”, and the
Chinese name of Beijing is “Pinyin”. The name reads literally as “Northern peace”, although its
usage and explanation are closer to the idea of “Northern plains”, and the English means of
Beijing is “Northern capital”. Beijing is the capital of China. China is a city where the ancient
culture and the modern civilization are well integrated.

It attracts tens of millions of visitors and tourists both at home and abroad each year to enjoy its rich culture and wonderful scenery.

most populous capital city.

and gates. It has seven “UNESCO” world Heritage sites, the Forbidden City, Temple of heaven,
summer places, Ming tombs, Zhoukoudian, part of the great wall and the grand canal all of the
which are popular tourist locations. It has more building of historical and architectural
significant than any other contemporary city in China. In the terms of crimes, Beijing is one of
the safest city and it’s generally save for solo female travelers, even at night. The peoples of the

mentioned earlier, roasted ducks is named after Beijing or Peking, which is an older spelling
variation of Beijing. However the roasted duck dish first appeared in Nanjing, Jiangsu during the
Ming dynasty. When the Ming dynasty moved to Beijing, they brought roasted ducks along with
them.

October. These temperate seasons provide the best climate, not to mention colorful scenery. In
contrast, summer brings sweltering heat, and winter ushers in cold temps and sometimes
snow.
Beijing is such a great city to visit, the ancient places which is in Beijing will improve our
